Blueberry Streusel Muffins

In fifth grade, we each had to pick a state to research and make a dish to prepare for the class that represented the food from that state. I chose Maine and I made a blueberry buckle. It has become a family favorite for dessert and breakfast. I have been wanting to expand my breakfast repertoire and found that Ina Garten has the best blueberry muffin recipes. This time I tried the Blueberry Streusel Muffins from “Barefoot Contessa: Back to Basics”.

Italian Wedding Soup

Now that it’s fall and its getting cooler, I felt it was appropriate to make soup for dinner. I made this last year for neighbors and it was a huge success. This is another one of Ina Garten’s recipes from “Back to Basics”.

Peaches and Plums

After looking through the same cookbook as my last post, “Barefoot Contessa at Home” by Ina Garten, the Summer Fruit Crostata caught my eye and inspired me to bake a summer dessert. This crostata is different than other crostata recipes because there’s a crumble topping. It adds a little extra sweetness to the fruit.
