Royal Tea Party

Royal Tea Party

For our three-year-old daughter’s birthday party, we did a Royal Tea Party. She loves anything princess theme right now and the inspiration all started while reading Princess Sofia’s Royal Tea Party book. After reading it many days in a row, our daughter really wanted to have a tea party.

The tea party themed paper product SVGS are all available on my Etsy - Hint of Mitten.

To get everyone excited for the tea party, we sent teapot shaped invitations with all the party details. All of the kids could come dressed as a princess or prince.

Since it was a toddler party, I felt it best to not bring out my china teacups and decided to design some out of paper. Thankfully, I started well in advance because it took some time to get everything right using my Cricut. While the teacups are not for actual drinking, the teacups, saucers, and teapots were a perfect addition as table decorations and party favors. Having these being made of paper, made it much less stressful with the kids around.

A fun craft activity for the kids was decorating paper tiaras and crowns with jewel stickers. The tiaras and crowns are adjustable for different head sizes, so both adults and kids could wear them.

Just in case, our daughter didn’t want to wear the costume the whole time, I made a tea for two t-shirt for her and her sister to wear.

While I love to bake, my cake decorating skills are not quite up to par. These cupcakes tasted delicious, but my piping job looks like an emoji. Note to self to buy a larger fancy piping tip for future cupcakes. These cupcake toppers were a fun addition to the cupcakes.

To say thank you for coming to the tea party, we sent teacup shaped thank you cards.

It took lots of time to complete everything, but so worth it to see my daughter’s excitement when it all came together.
